This year’s I Cantori di Carmel Christmas concert series will feature works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friederich Händel and Marc-Antoine Charpentier. L ooking for a way to get into the holi- day spirit? A festive I Cantori di Carmel Christmas concert could be just the thing! German opera virtuoso and seasoned choral director Daniel Henriks leads the exceptional 50-person choir and accompanying 28-piece orchestra in their performance of “Magnificat,” a Baroque Christmas concert with vibrant works by .ohann 7ebastian &ach, +eorg *riederich Händel and Marc-Antoine Charpentier. The choir will stage performances throughout the area, including the 'armel Mission &asilica, Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz and Stanton Theater in King City. -n preparation for the concert series, the cho - ral nonprofit hosts a select group of advanced voice students and young professionals at its Vocal Arts Academy at Hidden Valley Music Seminars in Carmel Valley. Participants work with world-renowned artists over a five-day period culminating in their participation in the Christmas concert series as both soloists and members of the choir.
