Copper, wire, foil duct tape and other materials were used by Crissela Vo to create “The Lone Shepherd’s Dandelion.” Vo performed a silk flow performance in the costume, depicting the shepherd after a storm, finding shimmering, blossoming dandelions rising from blankets of green, offering healing, inspiration, hope and delight. 102 C A R M E L M A G A Z I N E • W I N T E R 2 0 2 4 Designers Jennifer Perlmutter and René Romero Schuler flank Miranda Register-Hunt and Piper Thomas who are modeling “Soul Sisters.” Packing tape, plastic strips and fairy lights embody the 2024 show’s theme by depict- ing the sisters flowing through the winds, like a breeze or a storm, calming, forceful, unyielding, serene.
