Summer 2026
O n any given day, the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess team might be welcoming couples celebrating a special occasion, families eager to twist down resort water slides, or golfers ready to play the adjacent TPC Scottsdale courses. Whatever their plans, guests often pause in the main lobby to meet the property’s VIP ambassadors. A team of dogs—each the family member of a Princess employee—mingle with travelers through- out the day. “They greet all of our guests. When guests do travel with their pets, there’s always that nice moment in the lobby, too,” says Chris White, sales and marketing director at the resort. “We have a pet-friendly menu for the rooms. We have dog beds, bowls and toys. We really make everyone feel comfortable.” The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess rolls out the red carpet for pups and people 10 miles north of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Set on 65 Sonoran Desert acres, the property has six pools, five dining venues, sev- eral retail outlets and 750 guest rooms. Accommodations, tucked into neigh- borhood-like configurations linked by walking paths, range from spacious standard rooms to Fairmont Gold Suites to residential-style Privado Villas. “When you have a vertical hotel, it’s got elevators and big lobbies that we don’t have. We’re more of a boutique feel. Rooms are accessed by outdoor corridors, and it’s only four stories, so it doesn’t feel like a large resort,” White says.
